Fast ForWord

Fast ForWord is made up of progressive, supervised, computer based activities and exercises.  The exercises focus on building and improving essential cognitive skills such as:

  • memory
  • attention
  • processing and,
  • sequencing

The primary goal of the products, currently offered by Meridian Hearing Centre, is to improve auditory processing; subsequent benefits may include improvements in academic performance and social behaviour.

Results indicate that the Fast ForWord products produce long-term benefits due to their foundation in neuroscience research and use of principles grounded in this knowledge. These principles that enable and facilitate student learning include:

  • frequency and intensity
  • adaptivity
  • simultaneous development and,
  • timely motivation

Fast ForWord products apply these principles in game like fashion to help maintain focus and motivation for six consecutive weeks.
